What is the difference between organic & artificial intelligence? Are algorithms limited to the digital world alone?

At any threshold, you need a good password. Nuanced combinations of flora, funga, and fauna are keys that exalt, enhance, and unlock our relationships, not just to a wider bandwidth of notable earthbound chemistry, but to an enriched intimacy with our very own endogenous drugs- our neurotransmitters, and our perception of the world(s) therein.

When early 20th century scientists began teasing apart the active compounds in Ayahuasca (Banisteriopsis caapi), the name telepathine was assigned, reflecting eons of sacramental use granting numinous abilities to the partaker. Later, chemists connected the molecular dots to the harmala alkaloids, most notably associated with Syrian Rue (Peganum harmala) and Tobacco (Nicotiana spp.). Indeed, traditional, cross-cultural pharmacopeias find common ground, applying these plants as living technologies to access similar extrasensory spaces.

Could a single heroic ingredient be responsible for profound psychic phenomena? How do people continue to work with MAO-inhibiting plants for contact with human and non-human entities, oracular sight, and travel that seemingly bends the standard operating systems of space and time? Is the experience of synchronicity one that has been, and can be “engineered” by adept, botanically-saturated hands?

This discussion will touch upon sacramental phytochemical communication, crossroads, overlaps, and divergent paths between reductionist scientific models, systems-oriented indigenous models, and how we can utilize this vegetal tale to anchor us in the timeless, wondrous nature of intelligence as a whole.
