Fungi undoubtedly maintain deep ties throughout our histories, arts, foods, ontological systems, and our health. Yet, when anthropocentrism and commercialization attempt to shape and define our relationships with and as nature, what happens?

What would it look like if we acknowledged the global significance of mushrooms, not just as prepackaged capsules to pop from a stylized bottle, but as animate, storied beings in their own right who shape, build, decay, and restore the very terrain we call home, both inner and outer!?
